Learn about outstanding and favorite native plants: trees, shrubs, groundcovers & perennials. which are suitable for growing in an urban environment. Many native plants can be attractive additions to your landscape, with flowers that are beneficial to pollinators and fruit to attract birds and other wildlife.

TECHNOLOGY SERIES: Using Drones in the Landscape Field
Learn how your landscape company can use this technology in your day to day operations, including: highlights in mapping as it pertains to land use; 2D and 3D mapping; Simple construction progress shots; Simple overhead property shots to be used for planning purpose and image overlay on google.  Morton will also share FAA Regulations for commercial use you need to know before you get started! Nurseries interested in learning more about drone usage will gain knowledge on how to do so.

POLLINATOR SERIES: Native Bees & the Native Plants that Help Them Thrive.  The social European honey bee gets the spotlight but our native bees live completely differently. Understanding native bee life cycle and behavior can improve bee habitat in our garden, restoration, and landscape designs. Includes tips on what to do and what to avoid and also covers pollination effectiveness in order to advocate for why bee diversity is vital. PNW native plants useful to pollinators, and that are relatively easy to grow in a nursery and maintain in a landscape, will be highlighted. This session will include some tips for planning a pollinator planting, growing plants from seed, and helpful informational resources.
