South Seattle College Arboretum Needs Your Help!

ABOUT THE PROJECT & COMMUNICATION HUB/KIOSK
South Seattle College's arboretum recently received a $5000 grant from the WSNLA Scholarship & Research Charitable Fund. Grant funds will work to support The ARBs larger mission of promoting the Arboretum as a visible invitation for a career in the Green Industry, as well as a public garden for the community at large.  Currently the entry is blocked from view, this project will daylight the entry, install hardscaping and plant material, and replace its aging kiosk with a new communication hub.

Directly adjacent (but behind a chain link fence) lies the site for the landscape renovation to be completed prior to the installation of a new communication hub kiosk. The daylighting of the Arboretum’s entrance will welcome visitors to the newly named WSNLA Entry Garden. The project includes demolition of an existing landscape berm, currently obscuring the entrance.
