This test covers Section I of the three-part examination for industry professionals. The plants chosen for the Plant Identification portion are selected from the “CPH Plant List” which is included with the study materials available for Download on the wsnla.org web site.

Section 1 Plant Identification - 45 minutes
In this section, you will be asked to identify 40 live nursery samples by their botanical and common name. The plant samples will be nursery grown stock in containers or B&B. For 8 of these samples you will have to give more information. It will include 10 year height under normal growing conditions (<1’, <6’, <10’, >10’,>20’, >35’), blooming time as two months (Jan-Feb, Feb-Mar, etc.) and color, best exposure, and if the plant is evergreen, semi-evergreen, or deciduous. After this section, the proctors will go over the plants so you will have some idea as to how well you did.
Results
The test will be graded by the proctors and WSNLA staff and you will be notified by e mail of your results within 1 week.
