Living Amongst the Stars, the Garden Takes Center Stage

2013 Garden Description

A garden that tells a story utilizing the elements and structure of cinema/theater; plot, characters, sound, lighting, dialog, and movement. This modern glamorous northwest garden invites you to live outside under the stars. This garden will capture the feeling of experiencing and viewing your garden like a film. Escape into a different world by entering the garden and allow yourself to play a different character.

Heidi Skievaski has a degree in Environmental Horticulture from the Lake Washington Institute of Technology and is a Certified Professional Horticulturist. Originally inspired by her British Mother and Grandmother, who are both avid gardeners, Heidi founded Sublime Garden Design in 2005 after ending a long corporate career as a buyer for Nordstrom.

Heidi uses the same philosophy of combining color, texture and structure in the garden as she did in selecting and merchandising apparel to bring out her customers' personal style. Combined with her love for gardening, nature, health, and helping people, Heidi has found her true calling in creating gardens that are a personal reflection of her clients' needs and style, while promoting health and well-being for both the client and the environment.

Kryssie Maybay is a Landscape Architect with excellent hand and computer graphics skills in addition to 3D rendering capabilities. Kryssie graduated from Washington State University with a Bachelors of Landscape Architecture. While entering college into the school of Architecture she found her true passion in Landscape Architecture, which allowed her more flexibility and potential to be creative and think outside the box.

Kryssie’s wide range of experience, from commercial to residential projects, and continual research give her a vast library of ideas and inspiration to pull from. Her ability to create spaces in 3D helps clients to visualize ideas and in turn captures the needs and goals of the homeowner in a way they may not have thought of.
