WSNLA has learned that an identify fraud scheme is targeting landscape firms.
A firm receives a fax that says it is from the United States Department of Transportation and that the Department requires certain information in order to qualify the firm as a prospective contractor. A "financial information release form" is provided and the company is told they must fax the form in to qualify for contracts. This letter is not from the U.S. Department of Transportation. <more>

Sommarstuga: Summer living, Simply & Sustainablly Awarded Best in Show!
Sommarstuga, WSNLA's Northwest Flower & Garden Show display garden, has been awarded with 'The Best in Show", "Sunset Magazine's Living Award", as well as a Gold Medal. This year's garden designers, Janine Anderson, CPH and Terry LeLievre (Anderson/LeLievre Design Group) would like to thank the volunteers who worked very hard to help construct the garden. Be sure to check out the award winning landscape at the Northwest Flower & Garden Show (Washington Convention Center, Downtown Seattle, February 20-24.)
Pacific Stone Company Awarded For Harvest Themed Garden "Crush!" A huge congratulations to Pacific Stone Company (Everett, WA) for their award winning garden at this year's Northwest Flower & Garden Show. The Fall Harvest themed garden received the Ethel Moss People's Choice Award for favorite garden, as well as a Silver Medal from the international judging panel.
